Heroes

In the grade 8 LA's class, we have been talking about heroes and what they mean. Here are some of their heroes:

1. Nahan: "My dad is my hero because he is my protector who is inspirational, empathetic, and hopeful. He teaches me to never give up and raised me to be the person I am today."

2. Haruka: "My hero is Ran Ogawa, a character from my favorite Japanese book because she and I are very similar in the way we think and act. However, she is often prudent in the way she makes decisions, which I am still working on improving. Ran inspires me to change the way I think about the conflicts that I face.

3. Fiffy: "My mother is my hero because she can do many things at once.  She is the best gift that a daughter can receive.  She encourages me to be a better person, she's kind and loving, she is always there for me."

4. Osama: "My older brother is my hero because he always supports me and is by my side.  He helps me and I try to help him as much as possible.  He listens to me and helps me to fix the areas that I need to work on.  I will always love him."

Who is your hero? Let us know!
